Janice Del Negro and Megan Wells joined by many other tellers in Mill Spring Park

A long-standing Festival tradition, two nights of terror await you in these open-air, ground seating, ghost story concerts. Featuring a different collection of haunting tales each evening, acclaimed storytellers Janice Del Negro and Megan Wells join other featured tellers on the stage on Friday and Saturday nights. Bring a chair or blanket for seating. Show held in any kind of weather.

Janice Del Negro,
Janice M. Del Negrois a storyteller, author, and educator. Her books include Folktales Aloud: Practical Tips for Playful Storytelling, published by the American Library Association, and her latest recording is Fortune’s Daughters: Ghost Tales and Folktales. Del Negro has been a featured speaker, storyteller, and workshop leader at the National Storytelling Conference, the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, the Illinois Storytelling Festival, and many more storytelling festivals across the country. Janice is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at Dominican University. She is a 2016 recipient of the National Storytelling Network’s Circle of Excellence Award.

Megan Wells
Megan Wells’ telling is time travel at its best. With exquisite language, she takes listeners into deep-mind cinema. Her telling is passionate, soulful, and warm with humor. A master of the literary tale as well as long-form myth, Wells is known for her delicious timing, character portrayals, and the theatrical sensitivity she brings to her work. A recipient of the NSN ORACLE Circle of Excellence award, Wells has toured her one-woman shows across the country.
